A piece of red oak burl rescued from a box of wood scraps was used to make this unique and distinctive pendant. The grain pattern and deep reddish brown tones give this pendant an air of rustic elegance. The pendant measures at 2" or 50mm in diameter and approximately 1/2" or 13mm at its thickest. It's big and bold, yet weighs less than 3/4 of an oz. Making it a statement piece that is comfortable to wear as it commands attention.
This pendant was turned by hand on a wood lathe in our shop. It was then sanded and treated with a non-toxic oil finish. Finally, it was polished and buffed with carnauba wax. It's finished off with a 2mm black leather cord in your choice of length.
